Daedalus' Diary for 2 Players

This week I worked on implementing a new version of Daedalus' Diary that needs the participation of 2 players to be read, designing and implementing the  players' conversations with each of the 3 sphinxes, and implemented consequences for choosing the wrong options in one of the final riddles.

In the new Daedalus' Diary implementation, I started by creating 2 open books (objects), with a light below and a floating animation in order to call the attention of the players (first image). Each one of these diaries has half of the lines from the first two pages of the original (and complete) diary, and can be read individually by either player (second and third images). When both diaries are being read simultaneously, the players "unlock" the complete diary, shown as presented in the fourth image. Players can exit this state by reading the diary until the end (by continuing to press enter) or by moving away (see fifth image).

In the players' conversations with each sphinx (final puzzle), both players are capable of initiating the dialogue. The information they gain, however, will depend on the player (seventh image). Both players will have to combine the information acquired by each in order to find the correct answer and leave the maze.

In the first riddle of Daedalus' Room, where both players must choose the correct crystal to advance, I implemented as consequences when choosing wrong the "blindness" of one of the players (eight image) or the loss of control over the characters' rotation.
